Qingling Motors

Qingling Motors Co., Ltd. — formerly the Chongqing Automobile Manufacturing Plant — established the first Sino-foreign joint venture in Chongqing with Isuzu of Japan in 1985, and listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 1994 as the first pilot enterprise in China's automobile industry.

As Isuzu's only full-series commercial vehicle partner in China, Qingling focuses on commercial trucks and holds to three leaderships — technology, quality and management. In recent years it has focused on electrification, intelligence, connectivity and sharing, developing pure electric commercial vehicles alongside leading global suppliers such as CATL and Bosch.

1. 1985

   The Origin

   Qingling Motors Co., Ltd., formerly Chongqing Automobile Manufacturing Plant, partnered with Japan’s Isuzu in 1985 to establish Chongqing’s first Sino-foreign joint venture.

2. 1994

   Main Board Listing

   Qingling Motors Co., Ltd. was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, becoming one of the first Chinese automotive companies to be publicly listed overseas.

3. 1990–present

   Leading Manufacturer of Commercial Vehicles

   Backed by Isuzu’s expertise, Qingling became known for its reliable commercial vehicles.

   Focuses on electric commercial vehicles and sustainable transport solutions while maintaining its long-standing partnership with Isuzu.
